Ohio Secures Major Motion Picture for Northeast Ohio.

Columbus, Ohio - Nickelodeon Star Victoria Justice to Lead Film Cast The Ohio Film Office, in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, has secured another major motion picture to be filmed in northeast Ohio. The Ohio Department of Development, which houses the Ohio Film Office, has approved a $4.7 million Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit for an untitled Paramount Pictures movie set to shoot in the region this summer. Nearly 15 projects have been assisted the tax credit program since Fiscal Year 2010.

Piatt Castles is a private, family owned museum that offers tours and programs at two historical mansions, Mac-A-Check and Mac-O-Chee. These 19th century homes of Brigadier General and farmer, Abram Sanders Piatt, and his brother, famed journalist and poet, Colonel Donn Piatt, have interpreted Ohio history and intrigued visitors since the family started giving tours in the 1910s. Constructed of local limestone and decorated with elaborate woodwork and frescoes, the castles contain collections of Native American tools, books, military artifacts and family furnishings from two centuries. Ron Mason went out to Los Angeles to work in the film industry after graduating from Ohio State University in Design. Throughout his years in the industry, Ron has worked as a Set Designer and Art Director on a huge variety of film, commercial, and television projects. He has used his ability to take an idea for a set from concept to completion; from concept illustrations to working drawings to the supervision of their construction. Some of his television projects include: Power Rangers, Star Trek Voyager, The Closer, Dollhouse, The Division, and more recently The Vampire Diaries and iCarly. Some of his film credits include: Jason X, Smart People, Fame, The Soloist, and more recently Faster, and One for the Money.
