Commenting on Proposed Rules

Ohioans interested in reviewing and commenting on proposed state rules before they are filed with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review ("JCARR") now have the opportunity to do so.

The e-Notification system will now allow individuals, interested parties, and stakeholders to register to receive an electronic notice from our Department when a new rule is being prepared. The notice will advise the recipient that a new rule is under consideration and indicate how the text of the proposed rule can be viewed. After reviewing the text, individuals will be able to make comments and suggestions for consideration by the Department as the rule is refined and prepared for filing with JCARR.
