The Ohio Development Services Agency’s Office of Community Development, in conjunction with the Ohio Conference of Community Development, conducted the 2012 Community Development Conference November 7-9, 2012. This year’s conference was held at the Salt Fork Lodge and Conference Center in Cambridge and focused on community development training curriculum as well as economic development related topics for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administrators and stakeholders.
In addition, a Plenary session on What’s New at the Ohio Development Services Agency was held and featured Development Director Christiane Schmenk, Community Services Division Chief William Murdock, and OCD Deputy Chief Michael Hiler. The Development officials gave overviews of changes occurring in the Agency as well as programs and services administered by the respective division and offices.
In 2013, OCD will hold a similar conference for housing grantee administrators and stakeholders. Details, dates and location will be announced by the spring of 2013.
