Discretionary Grant Program

The Discretionary Grant Program provides funding for "target of opportunity" community development, housing, emergency shelter and special projects and activities that do not fit within the structure of existing programs and to provide supplemental resources to resolve immediate and unforeseen needs.

Total Funds Available: Approximately $1.1 million
Funding Source: Federal CDBG/HOME/ESG and Ohio Housing Trust Fund
Eligibility: Eligibility depends on type of funds requested.
Application: Applications may be submitted upon request.

New Horizons Fair Housing Assistance Program

The New Horizons Fair Housing Assistance Program provides funds to local governments, or consortia of local governments, to affirmatively further fair housing in addition to those activities funded through the standard fair housing program. Affirmative fair housing strategies are to be based on locally assessed needs and commitments, as well as to further the state’s fair housing goal.
