Advanced Materials Program Awards

The goal of the Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Materials Program (AMP) is to accelerate the development and growth of the advanced materials industry in Ohio by direct financial support to organizations seeking to: investigate near-term specific commercial objectives with respect to products, processes, or services; commercialize new products, commercialize manufacturing processes or technologies, or adapt or modify existing components or systems that can reduce the cost of advanced materials systems or address technical and commercialization barriers; or demonstrate market readiness. While this program is open to any advanced materials projects, preference is being given to projects in polymer and carbon nano-materials, liquid crystals, and bio-based materials.

Development has made the following modification to the FY2011 Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Materials Program (OTFAMP) and FY2011 Ohio Third Frontier Sensors Program (OTFSP) Request for Proposals:

  • The Wright Capital Funds referenced in RFP Section 2.4 Funding and Cost Share and Section 3.3.11 Budget and on the RFP Application Cover Form in Appendix C: Application Forms are no longer available to the FY2011 OTFAMP or FY2011 OTFSP.
  • Applicants to the FY2011 OTFAMP and FY2011 OTFSP may request up to $1 million in Third Frontier Research and Development Funds (TFRDF) for a project and may no longer request Wright Capital Funds beyond that amount. Applicants to the FY2011 OTFAMP and FY2011 OTFSP are to be aware of this modification as you further develop your project and prepare your Letter of Intent and final Proposal.

Due to a formatting issue, the Ohio Development Services Agency has updated Appendix C: Budget Forms effective October 15, 2009. When preparing a final Proposal to the FY 2010 Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Materials Program RFP, it is an applicant's responsibility to utilize only the most current Budget Forms provided and posted in Appendix C: Budget Forms.
