The Keys to Success Awards, formerly the Governor’s Excellence in Enterprise Awards showcases Ohio’s leading women-owned businesses and rewards their personal achievements, economic power, and financial/operational strength.  The program has recognized and honored women-business owners since 1996. 
Awards are given in the following categories:  Service, Real Estate/Construction, Marketing/Advertising/PR, Manufacturing/Technology, Health Care and Rising Star (in business less than five years. 
To be considered for the Keys To Success Award 2008, businesses must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Majority female owned (51% or more)
  • Sales greater than $500,000 in annual revenue, except in the following categories:  Service (minimum $300,000) and Rising Star (minimum $200,000) categories;
  • Well-established, growing and profitable for the 2007 federal tax reporting period;
  • Ohio-based
  • In operation for one year
