The Office of Energy offers the Energy Efficiency Program for Manufacturers, which is a multi-phase energy efficiency program that provides facilitation services and financial assistance to Ohio manufacturers to diagnose, plan, and implement cost-effective energy improvements at their facilities. The Program is divided into four phases:
Benefits to Ohio
In today’s global economy, Ohio companies are competing with manufacturers from around the world. The Energy Efficiency Program for Manufacturers will help Ohio companies reduce costs through sustainable energy savings identified in the diagnostic process. Improving the bottom line will put Ohio companies in a more competitive position with their worldwide competitors.
In addition, the Office of Energy, along with Ohio technical assistance providers, provides a portfolio of tools and services for Ohio manufacturers to use as a resource bank in developing the technical answers to the energy management plan. The Energy Efficiency Program for Manufacturers can help the Ohio manufacturing sector retain and create new jobs through the costs savings achieved when energy efficiency is maximized.
Expected Results
Results may vary, depending upon the commitment of the company’s management, but a sampling of the potential results from the diagnostics completed worldwide show that savings range from 6 to 40 percent. This depends upon the current level of energy management that the company currently has employed.
