- House Bill 264 (1985)
An Energy Conservation Program
that gives school districts the ability to borrow funds
without requiring taxpayer ballot approval in order to borrow the necessary funds. The cost savings in energy are then utilized to pay for these improvements. House Bill 264 was passed in 1985 and more than 500 Ohio school districts have taken advantage of it.
- Ohio School Facilities Commission
By law, only the Ohio School Facilities Commission reviews House Bill 264 projects for Ohio school districts. However, the Ohio Energy Resources Division within the Ohio Department of Development is a resource for information concerning potential opportunities and sources of supplemental funding
